November is right around the corner, and with that comes the NaNoWriMo Challenge!
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it is a challenge to writers of all ages to stop making excuses and start writing throughout the month of November. Many of you are extremely talented writers and have expressed interest in the challenge, and I would be thrilled to help you with the writing process. Writers younger than seventeen (that's you!) participate in the Young Writers' Program and can set reasonable goals for themselves using the Word Goal Calculator on the site. If you complete your goal, you win- that comes with bragging rights and two paperback versions of your novel free, courtesy of CreateSpace!
In addition, I'm offering extra credit for those who participate in NaNoWriMo, with additional extra credit offered for those who complete their goals and win.
More information about the challenge can be found on the NaNoWriMo Young Writers' Program website: ywp.nanowrimo.org.
If you're interested in participating, comment here so I can get a count of how many people are going to be receiving extra credit, and let me know whether you'd like my help. I'm willing to meet before school, after school, or during lunch, whenever your schedule permits.
Happy writing!
